What is Wolf D. Rock?

"The best of the 70's, the 80's and the 90's - it's in the mix - something for everyone, not enough for anyone!" - sick of ILR radio full of stupid jokes, cooking recipes and horoscopes? Can't stand it for more than 10 minutes any more and after 20 minutes the songs repeat anyway?

Oh yes, there also are some oldie stations or "garage music". The very popular US format "Classic Rock" - rock music from soft to hard, but not necessarily "Heavy Metal" - however is rare on the radio dial and if you are lucky and come across it, they label it with all those clichés like roaring motorcycles or "we wear leather jackets instead of office suits".

Wolf D. Rock - the name is program - is Classic Rock with additional unknown songs not played anywhere else and sometimes explanations to the lyrics. The show is bilingual in German and English.
